- Safety Dance: In 1982, Men Without Hats released the single for Safety Dance, their first and best selling single, from the album Rhythm of Youth. The single peaked at #3 on the Hot 100 charts. The song was written as a reaction to pogoing (a dance style popularized by Sid Vicious) being banned from mosh pits.
