Behind the Scenes
- Dramabomb: While promoting 30 Rock on The Howard Stern Show, Tina Fey recounted how difficult it was to work with episode host Paris Hilton. She was originally booked because the writers thought that she would be fun because "maybe she won't take herself so seriously." However, the experience turned out to be completely opposite of that. According to Fey, there were several instances where she would lock herself in her dressing room and refuse to do genuinely funny sketches. One example Fey mentioned was a sketch penned by Jim Downey involving Lorne Michaels telling her that she couldn't host the show because of her sex tape, since Saturday Night Live has standards. Instead, she would pitch sketches about the girls she was feuding with at the time. Fey gave an example of her pitching a sketch like, "you should do a show about Jessica Simpson because she's fat."
