[edit] The Show

  • Extra Songs: Likely due to Poehler's absence, Coldplay performed three complete songs on this episode. The last musical guest to be allowed three complete songs was R.E.M. in 1994, although U2 began to play a third song during the credits of their 2004 appearance.

[edit] Behind the Scenes

  • M.I.A.: Amy Poehler is missing from the bulk of this episode because she went into labor early Saturday and gave birth only hours before the beginning of the show. As a result, some sketches like Bronx Beat were cut and Seth Meyers did Weekend Update alone. She did appear in the pre-taped "How to Pick Up Women, the Don Draper Way," however.
