Returning with an abnormal captured in the Himalayas, Magnus and Will are trapped in a crashed plane with a small group of survivors in Hindu Kush after capturing a Yeti. The Yeti has escaped, and people start to die, one by one.

The team investigates a ship that was on it's way to bring new creatures to the Sanctuary. They find two different species that can make themselves invisible. A predator, and cute fluffy creatures nicknamed "Nubbins". The Nubbins reproduce rapidly, and escape. The team tries to capture them before a plague of cute furriness overwhelms the city.

While leading a covert meeting in Rome, Magnus is interrupted while giving a lecture by Nicola Tesla. The cabal comes after both of them, and they have to escape through the catacombs. Meanwhile, Ashley is captured by John Druitt who is trying to find Magnus. Will tries to deal with a creature attacking Sanctuary residents and equipment.
