[edit] Plot Overview

When Reba serves the wrong brand of potato salad at the football team's ritual pre-game dinner, the players resign themselves to losing before the game even starts.

Van is selected as Player of the Week and as such, is subject to a kidnap breakfast by the pep squad. The Player's mother is also asked to make a steak dinner for the team before the big game, however with Van's mom disowning him, he asks Reba to take her place, which she readily accepts.

However, the seriousness of the pre-game dinner becomes apparent when Brock and B.J. arrive offering help and the Good Word--the Westchester High Pre-Game Steak Dinner Bible, which is longer than the real Bible. However, Reba perseveres and creates a stunning dinner. A problem arises, however, when B.J. notices Reba used the wrong brand of potato salad. Now supposedly cursed to lose the big game, Reba tries to convince the team that you can't lose a game due to the potato salad.
