Raines (2007) is a crime drama starring Jeff Goldblum as a homicide detective who hallucinates the victims of the crimes he is working on. Each "ghost" represents Raines' detective process and is slowly fleshed out as Raines discovers more about the victim and the crime that was committed.

The series was debuted during a lull in NBC's Thursday night line-up alongside the premiere of Andy Barker, P.I.. After two episodes, the series was pulled from Thursdays and placed as the lead-in to Law & Order on Friday nights. Because the network has ceased production at seven episodes, it seems unlikely that the series will continue on into a second season.
