Plot Overview

The Queen robs the Monterrey - Santa Monica stage carrying Vera and the payroll Gold, but Montoya and Captain Grisham hunting nearby capture The Queen and recovers the gold. Realising she is a false Queen he decides to use her to his advantage to discredit the real Queen in the eyes of the peasants, and he petions Monterrey for more gold to replace the "stolen" gold.

The Viceroy arrives in Santa Helena questioning Montoya's leadership but he is a corrupt civil servant and Montoya to survive will have to sacrifice the gold and The Counterfeit Queen. The Queen has to restore her reputation , defeat the counterfeit Queen and find the payroll gold.

Happenings

To enter Montoya's strongroom The Queen uses the same technique that Dr Helm showed her in Episode 8.

Montoya sends the Counterfeit Queen to rob the hacienda of the Rey family who feature in Episode 18.


Characters

Pira, widowed in Episode 3 is selling eggs to Marta.

Dr Helm does not appear in this story.
