Pokémon/Movies and Specials
From The TV IV

The Pokémon series has inspired a number of movies and television specials. Unlike many anime series, these stories are not alternate retellings of the series plot or out-of-continuity tales; they fit into the series storyline though few are referred back to by the characters.
Movies
Each season is accompanied by a theatrical film, released in Japan over the summer. The plots revolve around Legendary Pokémon not often seen on the show, and each movie may introduce some previously unseen Pokémon yet to make their video game debut (like Munchlax).
