Plot Overview
A chess master is accused of fatally poisoning a gossip columnist who maligned him in his column. Fortunately, he has a good friend, Bill McKenzie, who has taken over Perry Mason's practice and is more than willing to defend him. McKenzie, aided by Della Street and Ken Malansky, discovers a host of other people who wanted the columnist dead.
