Password is a reboot of the 1960s game show.

In each of the hour-long episodes, a celebrity and Jimmy Fallon will pair up with contestants over two games. Players from each team guess a secret password using only one-word clues in an effort to take home up to $25,000.

The main game is classic Password but with a different scoring system. The first clue is worth six points working down. First team to 15 points wins the game, and two games won goes to the bonus round. If each contestant wins a game, they play a tiebreaker using the Plus/Super puzzle format showing five clues one at a time. Whoever knows what they have in common rings in to identify it. A correct response wins.

In the bonus round, the Alphabetics system from Password Plus is used. Here, the contestant chooses a celebrity to give clues to in 30 seconds with each correct answer worth $1000. The other celebrity plays another thirty seconds as the guesser to get the remaining words. A word passed due to an illegal clue has a new word starting with that letter substituted. Getting all ten words wins $25,000.
