Paris is a drama that aired on CBS.
Capt. Woodrow `Woody' Paris was a cerebral presence in the Los Angeles Police Department (he taught criminology at a local university). This underrated Steven Bochco series was also about Paris's home life with his wife, Barbara, a nurse. The show was intelligent and forcefully performed by James Earl Jones, but it failed to capture an audience and was off the air after half a season.
