Packed to the Rafters (2008–present) is about a couple, Dave and Julie Rafter, who have recently had son Ben, the last of their three children move out of home, and are looking forward to having the house and time to themselves. However, it is short-lived when son Nathan and his wife Sammy return home to save money for their first home, daughter Rachel returns to escape a violent relationship and Julie's father Ted, who has recently lost his wife, finds himself unable to cope on his own.
