Plot Overview
The son of an old friend returns home from Canada, where he had been holed up since deserting from the Army four years earlier. Owen agrees to handle the young man's defense at a military tribunal, but the charges are more than just desertion--he's also facing a charge of assault on a Non-Commissioned Officer.
