[edit] Basic Information

Romantic History: During season 1, Peyton and Jake formed a strong friendship, but never were anything more than friends. When Jake returned to town in season 2, he and Peyton quickly developed a relationship, but it was cut short when Jake once again had to leave Tree Hill. Peyton and Jake once again rekindled their relationship, but quickly broke it off when Peyton realized her true feelings lie with Lucas. Aside from Peyton, Jake had a previous relationship with Nicki and the two had a child together. However, after Jenny was born, Nicki split, leaving Jake to care for Jenny alone. Nicki returned to the picture during season 1, demanding partial custody of Jenny, causing Jake to leave to Savannah. When Jake returned, Nicki got a court order and the two now share custody of Jenny in Savannah. Jake Jakielski first appeared in Season One of One Tree Hill. He was on The Ravens Basketball team, but he dropped out of school. When Lucas Scott first joined the Ravens and blew his first varsity, Jake talked to him, and he encouraged him to re-join after he quit. Everyone wondered why Whitey was so easy on him, and let him miss practice and it is revealed in Episode 1.10 That he has a daughter, Jenny, on Open Mic Night. Toward the End of the season, Peyton Sawyer forms a bond with him and his daughter until Jenny is kidnapped by the babies mother, Nikki. He soon leaves Tree Hill with his daughter to stay away from her. He then returns in Season 2, with Jenny, and he lives in Peyton's house with her. But when Jake gets arrested, Nikki kidnapps his daughter once again and he leaves, in the 2nd season finale. He once again appears in season 3 episode 19 "I slept with someone from Fall Out Boy and all I got was this stupid Song written about Me," when Peyton realizes the guy she wants to be with is in fact Jake. In the last moments of the episode, Peyton is walking into the airport and we see Jake and Jenny. It is revealed that he has been living in Savannah, GA fighting for custody of his daughter.

[edit] Quotes

"One Tree Hill: Are You True? (#1.3)" (2003) Jake Jaglieski: [to Lucas] So the hazing begins. Right on schedule. [Smells the air] Jake Jaglieski: Can you smell the desperation?

Jake Jaglieski: Luke, the guys on the team, they're in a tough spot. Because of the suspension, most of these guys are younger, and they're not going to stand up to Nathan. It's not right, but that's the way it is. Lucas Scott: Yeah well, the way it is, doesn't work for me... and it doesn't work for my friends. Jake Jaglieski: Yeah, I know, but that's kind of why I came here. This thing could get really messy if someone doesn't take the high road. And I know this is not my place to ask, but I was just hoping that you could rise above it. Lucas Scott: I don't think I can do that. Jake Jaglieski: Okay. Just know that if you do... the team's gonna come around. They'll see you're a good guy and a hell of a player. Lucas Scott: And if I can't? Jake Jaglieski: Then I got your back.

Jake Jaglieski: Fear changes everything.

"One Tree Hill: The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most (#1.2)" (2003) Nathan Scott: What do you know about it, Jagielski? Jake Jagielski: What do any of us know about anything?

Jake Jagielski: Fear changes everything. [Gives Lucas the book "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand] Jake Jagielski: Just remember, don't let him take it.

"One Tree Hill: Spirit in the Night (#1.17)" (2004) Jake Jagielski: Bow Chicka Wow Wow... So uh, did you ladies order room service?

"One Tree Hill: Unopened Letter to the World (#2.15)" (2005) Jake Jaglieski: [to the Time Capsule] So, I'm a single father, and until recently a high school dropout, and I'm going on the first date since my daughter was born, aren't I a great catch or what?

"One Tree Hill: To Wish Impossible Things (#1.18)" (2004) Nicki: I got the cutest little stuffed animal. Jake Jaglieski: She has a purple monkey that she can't sleep without. Anything else, she ignores... Got the wrong formula. She needs a special kind because she wasn't breastfed. The alcohol in these wipes are bad for her skin. I buy her a special vitamin because she was a little underweight at her six-month checkup. She doesn't read. She sure as hell doesn't smoke. Oh, well look, at least you got the most expensive kind of ice cream. Nicki: I got that for you. 'Cause on our third date you said all that you needed for life to be good was a pint of this ice cream. I want your life to be good, Jake. I want to be with that boy that told me those things. Where did he go? Jake Jaglieski: You left him. Damn it, Nicki. It's not fair for you to come back here and do this. It's not fair to me, and it's not fair to Jenny. Nicki: I still love you, you know? Jake Jaglieski: It's funny. I can't tell you how many times I spent wondering when I was gonna hear you say that again. Just hoping that the next time the phone rang it'd be you calling to say those words. Nicki: Jake - Jake Jaglieski: And now that you're here, I... I can't even remember why I needed to hear them. You should recognize this next move, Nicki. You perfected it. It's called turning my back and leaving you behind.

"One Tree Hill: The Tide That Left and Never Came Back (#2.22)" (2005) Jake Jaglieski: I could have held you in my arms forever, and it still wouldn't have been long enough. "One Tree Hill: Everyday is a Sunday Evening (#3.20)"

PEYTON: I was kind of dating Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy. (2006) JAKE: Yeah. Well, I've been dating Shakira most nights, but she doesn't really know about it.

JAKE (to Peyton): I'm telling you, you got to watch out for those musicians.

JAKE: Did you know that Savannah is literally built on the dead? They placed cemeteries all over the city, and then as it grew they just kind of built on top of them. PEYTON: Great. I can't wait to go to bed tonight.

JAKE (to Peyton): There's this on-ramp that I pass every day on my way to work. Every day I think, I could get on that on-ramp, and I'd be in Tree Hill in 6 hours, 24 minutes. And I'd be with you. But I'd be without Jenny. And I can't do that.

Jake : You know, um, I wasn't entirely honest with you, before. Peyton: About what?? Jake : The reason I came back. Peyton: You said you were tired of running. Jake : Yeah, but that's not the only reason. See, the whole time that I was gone, I kept... thinking about all this stuff that I should have done hen I had the chance, but didn't. Peyton: Well, like what kinda stuff? Jake: I don't know. Mostly being with you

Jake Jaglieski: I could have held you in my arms forever, and it still wouldn't have been long enough.

Jake: "OK, so I’m a single father and until recently, a high school dropout and I’m going on my first date since my daughter was born. Am I a great catch or what? ----- So, I’m seeing this girl and I think our experience levels are a little different, you know, but even so, I’m doing something with her that I’ve never done before; I’m falling in love."
