Nip/Tuck (2003–) is a medical drama that airs on FX. Nip/Tuck revolves around plastic surgery partners Christian Troy and Sean McNamara in their professional and personal lives. It has been compared to a primetime soap opera, and those claims aren't necessarily inaccurate. Each episode follows the Buffy style of plotting, where the patient that gives each episode its title (or the weekly monster on Buffy), serves a thematic purpose, reflecting on what is going on in each doctor's life.
