Basic Information
Cambot is a robot created by Joel Robinson to broadcast his transmissions to Earth. Joel initially created the robot to call for help, but as he grew used to his conditions Cambot was mainly used so Joel and the bots could entertain millions back on Earth. The only time Cambot is seen is during the opening credits of the show, when someone is kind enough to put a mirror in front of him so he can film himself.
When the bots are called into the theater to watch the day's movie, Cambot enters the theater through his own special hallway with many opening doors. The door sequence was updated several times throughout the show's tenure. Each time the opening credits sequence to the show was updated, Cambot debuted a brand new look. This is because the show's crew discarded the Cambot puppet each time it was created (since it was only seen in the opening). Since they didn't have the old puppet, each time they remade the opening credits they decided to make a brand new Cambot.
