Moon Knight is an adaptation of the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It was announced that the character was the subject of Marvel's latest foray into television on October 25, 2006, but no details about the format of the show were given other than that it will be live-action.

When Marc Spector nearly died in Egypt, he was given a second chance by the Egyptian god of vengeance, Konshu. As Konshu's agent on Earth, Moon Knight hunts criminals and brings them to justice. In his first comic appearance, he attacked Werewolf by Night and was pegged as a fighter of the supernatural. Later, he was reinvisioned into a gritty urban hero.
