Plot Overview
A college football coach who was kicked out of the pros for throwing games as a player finds himself accused of throwing college games. Matlock refuses to defend him and recommends another attorney, who loses the coach's case. When it's revealed that the lawyer withheld a witness who could clear his client, Matlock steps in and clears the man's name. The coach's wife reveals that she and the lawyer were having an affair and set him up to get him out of the way. The coach dies in a mysterious fall, and his wife is murdered, and Matlock is hired to defend the lawyer, now accused of murder. Leanne asks Ben to take in her client, a homeless man accused of trespassing and disorderly conduct, and the man turns out to be a great cook.
