From The TV IV

Man from Atlantis is a sci-fi adventure that aired on NBC. When man is found washed up on a beach, he is taken to a local hospital, where he is lucky enough to be seen by Dr. Elizabeth Merrill. The man's vital signs are fading, and there seems no hope, until Elizabeth realizes that the man has webbed hands. Taking a chance she submerges the man in a tank of water, and he miraculously begins to come back to life. On talking with the man, he explains that he comes from a far off place beneath the oceans, Elizabeth is stunned, could this could really be an inhabitant of the lost world of Atlantis? They Christen the man Mark Harris, and he joins the Foundation for Oceanic Resarch, run by C.W. Crawford, to help them find out more about the oceans. Whilst undergoing tests they find Mark can swim at incredible speeds, and is able to withstand great pressures of water without harm.
