Plot Overview
Thelma and the rest of the Harpers are forced to look after Eugene Meechum, the spoiled and horribly bratty grandson of their church minister, Rev. Lloyd Meechum, and his snobbish and gossipy wife Alberta. Eugene proceeds to terrorize the Harper household with malicious and destructive pranks against the family, insults them repeatedly, makes demands of them and throws temper tantrums when he does not get his way due to him being spoiled and allowed to misbehave by the hypocritical Alberta, who invariably denies any bad behavior by her grandson. Thelma's limit is soon passed when she discovers that Eugene had tied her up in her sleep, and when she catches him as he attempts to escape after he kicks Lloyd in his right leg (which was in a cast due to that leg getting broken in an accident), Thelma helps Lloyd give Eugene his comeuppance with a spanking.
