Monique Jefferies was a detective in Manhattan's special victims unit, played by Michelle Hurd. She played a prominent role in the unit's first year as John Munch's partner, but was later resigned to desk duty as a result of her psychological evaluation. She left the unit in its second year and was replaced by Odafin Tutuola.
