Plot Overview
When Tricia Stephens, the troubled teenage stepdaughter of Judge Walter Thornburg (who is known to be tough on sex offenders) is murdered, SVU discovers that Tricia was writing letters to the men that Judge Thornburg sent to jail; the case takes a turn when Judge Thornburg is shot in front of his house which leads detectives to Thomas Byrd, a convicted sex offender who claims that Tricia told him to kill her stepfather.
