Kyle MacLachlan was born in 1959. His first notable big screen appearance was the movie Dune by David Lynch. His critical breakthrough later came in the movie Blue Velvet by David Lynch. In 1990 he got his TV breakthrough in the role as Special Agent Dale Cooper in the TV series Twin Peaks.
Lately he's been seen in both Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives.
