Season One of Kung Fu premiered with a pilot movie aired as an ABC Movie of the Week on February 22, 1972. The success of that led to the series being picked up, and it officially debuted on the ABC network on October 14, 1972. David Carradine stars as Kwai Chang Caine, a former Shaolin monk who flees China after killing the Chinese Emperor's nephew.
This is the season where the story arc of Caine's lost brother begins.
