Paige Matheson is a fictional character from the series Knots Landing. She was portrayed by actress Nicollette Sheridan from 1986 to 1993 and had a brief cameo in the 1997 reunion movie.

Early Life

Paige grew up traveling with her mother, Anne, all over the world, and at her Grandparents' in New York. Her childhood was very unstable. She attended boarding school in Switzerland. Having had it with her family, she faked her own death, and lived off money she got by pawning jewelry.

Finding Mack

At 19, Paige came to Knots Landing to meet her father, Mack who was not aware of her existence. Out of money, she moved into the MacKenzies'. Karen found out about Paige staging her death, and soon after Anne came to town which Paige was not very happy about. Anne soon left though when her attempts to seduce Mack failed and he made it clear that he loved Karen. Out of spite, Anne told Mack that Gregory Sumner was Paige's father. It was later proven that Mack was her father (they were both allergic to canteloupe.)

Paige's Relationship with Michael Fairgate and Peter Hollister

When Paige first arrived in Knots Landing, she did not see much of Mack's at first as Karen had been kidnapped. She spent a lot of time with Michael and started an affair with him. When Mack and Karen found out that Paige and Michael were sleeping together, Paige moved out and broke up with him. She got a job at Lotus Point and started seeing Peter Hollister who was also having an affair with Abby. Paige was convinced that Peter loved her and would marry her but Abby got him to break up with her because she had not behaved well towards her daughter Olivia. Paige was upset that Peter wouldn't marry her, and thought it was because Peter knew Greg was her father. Paige accidentally killed Peter during an argument but no charges were made against her. Abby fired her from Lotus Point when the truth came out though.

Paige's Relationship with Greg Sumner and Tom Ryan

Paige found a job at an Art Gallery where she bumped into Greg Sumner. After some time, he asked her to come work for him at the ranch to source art for him. Paige fell in love with Greg, but he was oblivious to it at first. At that time, Johnny Rourke, an old acquaintance of Paige arrived in Knots Landing. Johnny was keen to get back with Paige but she was not keen and rejected him repeatedly. She eventually resumed her affair with him though, after being ignored by Greg. After discovering the truth about Johnny in Mexico, Paige broke up with him for good. Paige soon seduced Greg by swimming in Greg's pool naked and coming out of the pool in front of him. They started an affair but though it was obvious that Greg had feelings for her, he struggled with their age difference and did not go out with her in public. Greg wanted to run for Mayor and his publicist Ted Melcher who was attracted to Paige kept advising Greg that his relationship with Paige could ruin his chances in the election if people found out. When Paige went East to attend her grandfather's funeral, Greg proposed to Abby who eventually accepted to marry him. Paige was absolutely crushed when he married Abby. Paige sabotaged Greg's chances by leaking information about Meg's adoption. After Abby left for Japan, both Paige and Greg wanted to get back together but Paige played hard to get as she wasn't sure of Greg's feelings. Greg got tired and started going out with Paula while Paige started going out with Tom Ryan but their courtship was rocky as he had been using her to get information on Mack and was revealed to be a dirty cop. He truly loved her though and they patched things up and decided to get married. Tom left her at the altar and she got back together with the separated Greg, until she found out he had paid off and blackmailed Tom to leave her. She got back together with Tom for a while, then broke up with him again. When Greg was shot then injected with poison by his daughter Mary Frances's boyfriend which required him to have a liver transplant, Paige was by his side and they decided to get married, but Paige broke it off when Greg became distant again partly influenced by Claudia Whittaker's plotting.

Pierce Lawton

While away on business, Paige met Pierce Lawton, and their relationship moved way too fast. He read some confidential documents about a project Gary had tried to pitch to the Sumner Group and when Greg found out (thanks to Linda) he fired her and she joined Pierce and Gary at Tidal Energy. Thanks to Victoria Broyard, a ex of Pierce's, Paige found out some troubling information about his past and broke up with him. He went psycho, and tried to shoot Greg but Paige got shot instead. Greg rushed to her side at the hospital, and they fell in love again. While paralyzed in the hospital following a delicate operation on her spine, Pierce kidnapped her and took off with her in a yacht. Mac and Greg saved her but Greg had a near-death experience, and suddenly was distant to Paige again. He gave Sumner Group to Paige, Claudia and Meg.

Paige and Claudia fought tooth and nail for control. Claudia eventually sold her shares back to Greg, but Mac gave Meg's share to Paige, and she owned the Controlling interest in Sumner Group, becoming Greg's boss! They also got back together, but Paige left him once again and moved to New York when he refused to have children. Today Paige is an executive in Manhattan, and is still missing Greg.
