Jason Avery is a fictional character from the series Knots Landing. Jason was portrayed by four actors throughout his character's run. In the pilot, he was portrayed by Justin Dana, then from the next episode onto 1982, he was portrayed by Danny Gellis. In 1982, he was portrayed by Danny Ponce until 1986. The last actor to portray Jason was Matthew Newmark from 1986 to 1987.

Character History
Jason Avery is the son of Laura and Richard Avery. When Jason was born, Richard and Laura moved to Knots Landing to start a new life for themselves. Jason seems to have adjusted well when his parents were going through some drama in their marriage. He became a big brother when Daniel was born in 1982. In 1983, Richard left and Jason thought his father didn't love him. Laura made sure that Jason and Daniel would never be hurt by anyone. When she got into a new relationship with Greg Sumner, Jason was happy to have someone who was a father figure to him, but he still missed his dad. When Laura died, He and Daniel were sent to live with Richard Avery and his new family.
