From The TV IV
Kim Possible is an animated action/adventure series centered around Kim Possible, a teenage crimefighter who attempts to juggle fighting crime and doing homework alongside sidekicks Ron Stoppable and Rufus.
The series was an instant hit for Disney, managing to get nominated for a Primetime Emmy for the first episode. The series quickly cemented itself as the most watched and highest rated television show broadcast on the channel in several years. The show was also later nominated for two Daytime Emmys in 2004 and 2005. Fans of the show praise it for several aspects of the production, but often remark on its dialogue and characters.
On November 28, 2005, it was announced that Disney had renewed the show for a fourth season. On the Kim Possible board of the Alternate Reality Association forum, series director Steve Loter confirmed the news and said twenty-two new episodes will be produced. Series star Christy Carlson Romano expressed great enthusiasm for the renewal in her journal on her official website. On September 7, 2007, the series finale aired. Any announcement of the show going into syndication has merely been speculation and/or on fans' wish list. (Elsewhere on TVIV, it has been erroneously posted that the show is airing on numerous CBS stations. Research of the stations' program guide on their sites show it is not.)
