KXRM
KXRM-TV Fox21 (Digital Channel 22, Virtual Channel 21) is the Fox affiliate for the Colorado Springs/Pueblo area, with its studios in the eastern end of Colorado Springs. KXRM was the first UHF station in the market, and one year after its founding was a charter affiliate of the Fox network. Ironically, since the transition to digital and KKTV's abandonment of VHF, KXRM at 22 is now the lowest digital channel for a commercial station in the market. KXRM's subchannel (22.2) simulcasts co-owned KXTU-LP, the market's current CW (and former UPN) affiliate whose new low power digital signal on Channel 57 barely reaches outside Pueblo.
News
KXRM had no newscasts until 2001, when KKTV-TV started producing a 9PM newscast for Fox 21. In 2006, the news agreement between KKTV-TV and KXRM ended, with Fox 21 hiring many of the KKTV employees who produced the 9PM newscast. Fox 21 added a morning newscast in 2007 and a 6:30PM newscast in 2010. Their newscasts now air from 6-9AM, 6:30-7PM, and 9-10:05PM on weekdays and 9-9:30PM on weekends. Their newscasts are generally 4th in the market.
Other Programming
Fox 21 airs the typical Fox network schedule. Syndicated programming includes most of the court shows (except Judge Judy), Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Frasier, Ring of Honor Wrestling, and The King of Queens.
