Notes

Comic Book Parallels

  • Metamorpho: Rex Mason was an adventurer and explorer working under the eyes of Simon Stagg, an eccentric billionaire with a penchant for the weird. During one of his missions for Stagg, he became trapped in an Egyptian Pyramid while searching for the Orb of Ra. However, he was able escape from the pyramid when the Orb of Ra transformed his body and genetic makeup in such a way that he gained the ability to control his chemical composition and shape. Though, the drawback of having these powers was that it transformed his natural look in such a way that he barely looked human. After taking on the name of Metamorpho, Mason went on to found the Outsiders with Batman and has been a member of teams such as Justice League Europe and Justice League of America until his death in JLA v3 #01. He has since returned from the dead.
First Appearance: The Brave and the Bold #57, written by Bob Haney.
