[edit] Plot Overview
[edit] Notes
[edit] Comic Book Parallels
- Supergirl's New Outfit: Supergirl has a new costume that more closely resembles what she currently wears in the comics.
[edit] Arc Advancement
[edit] Happenings
- Evil Plot: Metallo and Silver Banshee attempt to steal a very large Kryptonite stone, presumably for Grodd's Legion.
[edit] Characters
- Metallo: If his Kryptonite power source is removed, Metallo can run on reserve power for up to fifteen minutes.
- Booby Trapped Brains? Someone (presumably Gorilla Grodd) was able to shut down or destroy Metallo's brain by remote. Is this weakness unique to Metallo, or could Grodd have installed similar failsafes in all the members of his Legion?
[edit] Referbacks
- The Way of All Flesh: Metallo was first introduced in this episode of Superman: The Animated Series.
[edit] Trivia
[edit] The Show
- Kryptonite: In Skartaris, green kryptonite has healing powers on at least some humans.
[edit] Behind the Scenes
- Returning Diniverse Voice Actor: Malcolm McDowell reprises his role as Metallo from Superman: The Animated Series.
[edit] Allusions and References
- Gamera: The giant turtle that attacks the Asian city and flies by spitting fire out of its shell's legholes and spinning is an obvious parody of Japanese giant monster movie staple Gamera.
[edit] Memorable Moments
[edit] Quotes
- [Watching Warlord's troops training with sharp sticks]
Stargirl: Geez, you call that an army?
Warlord: Most of these folks have lost everything to Deimos, so, you know, feel free to dump on them. - Warlord: Deimos! You and me, pal.
Deimos: Morgan. I was hoping to kill you today.
