Plot Overview

A bartender, Jake Garcia, is accused of murdering a woman, Beth Conway, about to be married.

TNT&G take the case, mostly because Ron Trott owns a small percentage of the bar the bartender worked in. Beth Conway has been missing for 12 days, and the rich family that Beth was going to marry into, the Halls, is demanding that the local D.A. arrest someone for murder. The D.A. interviews and later arrests a bartender named Jake Garcia, the last known person to see Beth. With no murdered body, and with a small amount blood in the bartender's car, and an article of clothing from the missing woman in the car, the D.A. arrests Jake Garcia. TNT&G argues that there is strong evidence that Beth is still alive and is off somewhere as a "runaway bride."

Complicating matters: TNT&G is used to defending clients in L.A., but this case is occurring in Orange County with a jury pool that is completely different from the one that would be found in L.A. and one that would not likely like TNT&G's normal tactics.
