Plot Overview
When Stu Collins returns to the prosecutor's office, he blames Amy for losing his job with the governor's office causing the two of them to get into a verbal altercation which results in Stu collapsing from a near-fatal heart attack; Amy presides over the case of a teenage boy (who is the son of a mob boss) who set a store on fire, badly injuring one of the employees, but the witnesses testifying against the boy appear to have been intimidated by the boy's father; meanwhile, Maxine tries to help out a couple who disagree over whether or not they should give up their young adoptive daughter (who has reactive attachment disorder) which ends with tragic results; Vincent prepares for his book signing and moving to San Francisco with Carole.
