Plot Overview

Amy is concerned about Maxine's behavior after Jared's death; Maxine returns to work where she ends up removing a 2-year-old boy from the custody of an 18-year-old girl that was a former foster child Maxine helped out years ago; Amy hears the case of a father who wants his ex-wife to pull their daughter out of a school for overweight children; meanwhile, Kyle defies the orders of a plastic surgeon who refuses to operate on a woman with no insurance.
