Plot Overview

Amy deals with high-powered attorneys trying to bully her during a paternity case she's preciding and takes a self-defense class with Lolly; Maxine struggles over reconciling with an old friend whose husband recently passed away and tries to convince a pediatrician into testifying in the case of a sexual abuse investigation at a preschool; Vincent develops a sense of fearlessness after his near-death experience which gets him into trouble with his boss at the newspaper; Peter questions whether or not he can raise a biracial child after a colleague at work makes a racial comment.
