Notes

Arc Advancement

Happenings

  • Alex is revealed to be the super (actually, the super's wife, but does his job often because he's away a lot) who keeps sending tenants, including Joey, notes on what they are doing wrong. Because of this (she is referred to as the "Note-zi"), everone in the complex hates her. She doesn't tell Joey she's the acting super because they were getting along, and she doesn't want him to hate her, too. After finding out, Joey says he still doesn't hate her and wants to make sure their relationship is "good".

Characters

Referbacks

  • When Joey formally introduce Michael to Alex, he stutters, struggles to speak and sweats his palms. In the pilot, Michael mentions that the "blond girl" neighbor makes his stutter come back.

Quotes

  • Joey: (while pondering eating milk and potato chips together) Disgusting... or wonderful?
  • Gina: Fine. If it's such a big deal, you can have the stupid key back. (hands Joey a key to his apartment)
Joey: That was too easy. You have another one.
Gina: Good job, Nancy Drew. Here. (hands Joey another key)
Joey: How many more do you have?
Gina: We can do this all day.
  • (all yelling)
Gina: MICHAEL! YOUR SNACK IS READY!
Michael: IN A MINUTE! I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING!
Gina: WELL HURRY UP! I GOTTA GET GOIN'!
Joey: I'M SO GLAD I MOVED OUT HERE!
  • Joey: (reading a list from the super)"Underwear is not appropriate hot tub attire". Why not?
Michael: Uh, maybe because when it's wet, it's see through.
Joey: (looks down) He-ey! How 'bout that?
Alex: (walks in): Hey. I know that you were upset about your grill, so I made you a list of the places around that make good burgers and also a couple of my favorite restaurants. (walks towards hot tub to hand Joey the list) And, there's your peepee. (walks away)
  • Michael: Check out the name. (hands Joey his fake ID)
    Joey: Neils Bohr?
Michael: The famous physicist. He developed...
    Joey: (interrupting) No, thanks. Nope.
  • Gina: Aren't I a fun mom? Didn't I buy a case of beer for you and your friends on your eighteenth birthday, huh?
Michael: Yeah. Then you drank it yourself and heckled us while we played Trivial Pursuit.
  • Gina: (to Michael) I can help you with the women.
Joey: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm actually handlin' that, alright? I'm kinda his teacher in that area.
Gina: Must be a pretty involved course. (imitating Joey) "How you doin'? How you doin'? How you doin'?"
Joey: Worked on every one of your friends!
  • (giving Michael advice on how to score with a girl)
Gina: Take her to dinner and a movie.
Joey: Bring her a slice and some porn.
    Gina: Joey, that's disgusting!
Joey: Worked on all of your friends!
