Joel Hodgson, born February 20, 1960 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He started as a comic/magician and appeared on Saturday Night Live on November 12, 1983. He retired from that at the age of 24, to create Mystery Science Theater 3000, and star as Joel Robinson. He spent some time working as a carpenter for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. He is currently working as a writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live.
