NOTICE: SHUTTING DOWN 4 JAN 2015

On January 4, 2015, I will be shutting down the server that hosts The TV IV website. It has been a very long time since I've been able to put any decent amount of time into the site, and ad revenue is plummeting. I think it is time to shut it down or hand it off to someone who can keep it going properly. If you are interested in taking over the site's code and data, contact administrators at tviv.org. --CygnusTMtalk

Jetix was a British children's TV channel, launched as Fox Kids in 1996. As it was acquired by The Walt Disney Company, it its name was changed to Jetix.

History

In April 2004 the Jetix brand was introduced to UK viewers as the evening programming block on Fox Kids. The following September it also began to be broadcast as in the morning programming, and on January 1, 2005, Jetix became the name of the entire channel.

August 31, 2009 the name of the channel was changed to Disney XD, as Disney was merging the Toon Disney and Jetix brands.

An official Jetix Magazine was published by Future Publishing and featured a monthly Power Rangers Dino Thunder comic strip.
