Plot Overview
A P.I. is gunned down while out to dinner with his client, who promptly disappears from the scene. Hunter discovers that the client wanted the detective to look into the suspicious suicide of his rich father, and that he suspects the dead man's much-younger wife of killing him. Since the suicide happened in San Francisco, Hunter and McCall travel there and team up with a stunning SFPD detective, whom McCall immediately becomes jealous of when she starts flirting with Hunter. They meet the widow, who, to no one's surprise, accuses the son of killing his dad, the motive being the man's fortune. Sgt. Foster travels to L.A. with Hunter and McCall to continue the case, which becomes slightly more complicated when the son winds up dead.
