Plot Overview
After Jason is beat up by neighborhood bully Shannon, Brendon vows revenge. Unfortunately, Brendon forgets that he can't fight, much less fight Shannon. While McGuirk offers him lessons in fighting and unusual fighting techniques, Paula begs him to beat Shannon...with words. Brendon goes on to lose the fight badly, but becomes only more enraged when Shannon takes the moral high ground.

- Gnome: The first gnome to be found in the history of the series is seen in the final sequence with Brendon and Shannon in Shannon's back yard.
- One of five episodes to air on UPN, and also has Paula Poundstone instead of Janine Ditullo playing Paula.
- Walter and Perry are introduced in this episode, though a bit off from their regular personas (and with opposite names).
- Shannon makes his first appearance, and is the first guest star, Emo Philips.
