Allusions and References
- Leo recalls the sword he found to be something out of the 1939 film Gone With the Wind, appropriate for Desiree since the film is set in the Civil War era.
- Richie tells Duncan that he's out of there if he hears banjos. This refers to a scene in the 1972's Deliverance where a character plays "Dueling Banjos" on guitar with a banjo-picking country boy. As the film is set in the wilderness, it conjures fears of such inhabitants, especially due a rather famous rape scene.
