Plot Overview
Vince and David Teagues find an old man's body in a boat in the Haven harbor. The boat is identified by the harbor master, Beatrice Mitchell, as one that went missing from Camden.
The tatoo on his arm leads Parker and Nathan to the artist who invented the tattoo design, but he remembers putting the tattoo on a young man.
As Parker and Nathan are talking to the doctor who autopsied the body, an old man stumbles on to the tennis court. Parker recognizes him from the night before when he had been 30 years old, talking to a woman, Helena, at The Grey Gull.
When Parker and Nathan interrogate the first man's poaching partner, they learn that the dead man had picked up the same woman a week earlier.
As Parker and Nathan do the interrogation, Duke meets Helena at The Grey Gull. He wakes up sick the next morning. As he's leaving his boat he sees Beatrice Mitchell and her friend Abby leaving the area.
Duke calls Parker and Nathan later in the day and when they arrive at his boat it is immediately obvious he is rapidly aging. As they interrogate him, the same pattern emerges. He met Helena on Friday night at The Grey Gull. When Duke mentions seeing Beatrice in the harbor Saturday morning, the three of them decide to talk to her.
At Beatrice's house, they find her gone, but some of the clothing in her house Duke and Parker recognize as items Helena had worn. When questioned, Abby admits that Beatrice has gone to the lighthouse.
At the lighthouse, Parker interrogates Beatrice as she goes into labor and discovers that the men only actually died when Beatrice held her babies for the first time. When the delivery is complete, Parker takes the baby away and an adoption is arranged. Duke's aging reverses.
