Game Show Network (formerly GSN) is an American cable television network that broadcasts first-run as well as vintage game shows. It launched December 1, 1994 with a mix of Goodson-Todman, Bob Stewart and Chuck Barris shows. It had specialized blocks on the weekend, with kids game shows in the weekend mornings and a block of black-and-white shows Sunday evenings at one time.

In 2001, Liberty Media acquired a 50% stake in GSN and slowly original programming was introduced with shows like Extreme Gong, The All-New 3's A Crowd and Inquizition. Reality TV fare such as Kenny Vs. Spenny was also made and aired, but many of those shows disappeared as fast as they premiered as traditional game show fans felt alienated. Extreme Dodgeball, Arsenio Hall's Star Search and World Series of Blackjack were other series during this time. More recent premieres have been Idiotest, Skin Wars, Hellevator, and a new edition of The Newlywed Game, hotsed by Sherri Shepherd. The most popular series on GSN right now is the Steve Harvey edition of Family Feud. The Richard Dawson Feud now airs on Buzzr.

Elesewhere on TV IV, it has been posted that GSN is a subchannel of a number of OTA broadcast TV stations. This is most likely wishful thinking as GSN is not a digital subchannel, while Buzzr, which also specializes in classic game shows, is.
