Plot Overview

Upon learning that pretty much all the Hooterville residents are planning to leave for Bleedwell and work at their new airplane factory, Oliver suggests they build a plant in Hooterville, and is told that there was such a plant there, with a lifetime contract to make World War II biplanes. Furthermore, according to the plant's records, they owe the Air Force six more planes, and decide that the new plant build those outdated planes, to the consternation of both Oliver and an Air Force Colonel.

The Show

A pair of credit gags...first, the writers' credits are imposed over a sleeping Oliver and Lisa. Lisa wakes up Oliver and asks him if he knows who Jay Sommers and Dick 'Chevrolet' are. She says that she dreamed their names were over them! Oliver tells her to go back to sleep. Then, Haney's truck shows up, and the first sign he pulls down reads 'Directed by Richard L. Bare', to which Haney says, "Who's he?".
