Plot Overview

Every night since they have been shipwrecked, the castaways have fired off a flare in the hopes that someone will see it,and they be rescued.Gilligan who is supposed to be on sentry duty is always asleep, but somewhat alert. He sleeps standing up.Everytime he is awakened by the Skipper,he with gun in hand fires, and say"Stop,or I'll shoot".After firing off the bullet in the gun,Skipper has a serious talk with Gilligan concerning the importance of sentry duty.Gilligan seemingly understands promises to stay awake. However, once the Skipper leaves,Gilligan falls asleep. There is a strange noise coming from the bushes. It awakens Gilligan for a moment, but he falls back to sleep again.By the morning Gilligan again is awakened, and reacts again firing off an empty gun.The Skipper, and Professor checks the supplys in the Supply Hut,and find that most of their supplys are gone. The most important of their supplys is the Flare Gun.So,they organize a search for the missing supplys. They believe that a stranger is responsible for the missing supplys. The Skipper superstitiuosly believe it is Voodoo. He shares this belief with Gilligan, and warns him not to tell the others. The real culprit however is a chimpanzee. He had stolen the supplys, and later steals Gilligans clothes after Gilligan accidentally falls into mud jumps into the Lagoon to clean himself off.The Castaways will get the supplys back.Unfortunately, they will lose the flares from the Flare Gun when Gilligan shoots off a flare into the Supply Hut inadvertedly igniting all of the flare thus leaving the Castaways with no way of signaling any passing planes,or ships. The other castaways by morning would forgive Gilligan.
