Plot Overview

Goliath, Elisa, Angela and Bronx emerge from the mists of Avalon into freezing cold. As they land on the edge of the ice, a one eyed man in a black starred robe appears, offering to trade a warm fur coat for Elisa who is suffering from the extreme cold, for the Eye of Odin. Elisa and Goliath refuse the trade and the one eyed man leaves, threatening that they will regret the choice.

Erik and Gunther are coming home from a hockey game when their car spins out of control. Goliath pulls it off the edge of a cliff without being seen. Elisa approaches them asking for shelter from the cold. Goliath and Angela follow at a discrete distance. When they see she is safe, they leave, going off into the forest to look for a place to rest for the day.

As they travel through the forest they are attacked by a one eyed polar bear who is after Goliath's pouch. After they drive off the bear, Goliath realizes that the old man and the bear were likely one in the same, and that Elisa is still in danger. They go back for her, but when they arrive at the cabin, the one eyed man is already there. He captures Elisa and proclaims that he is the god Odin, and he wants his eye back.

Goliath puts the Eye on and is transformed into a large, armored version of himself, the Eye strengthening his instincts for protection. He is able to take Elisa from Odin and drive the god off.

When the sun rises, Goliath, still protected by the power of the Eye, is not transformed to stone.

A storm brews overhead, and Goliath begins moving everyone north to some caves Erik knows about. He feels it will be safer there.

They arrive in the evening and Angela and Bronx transform back into their gargoyle selves. Goliath goes out of the caves to see if it is safe. Angela goes out shortly after him, and observes him using the power of the Eye to cause the storm they have been fleeing.

When Goliath returns to the cave, the others confront him. He explains he has been causing the storm so they would be inspired to move to a safe location where he can leave them while he searches out Odin. He feels they will never be safe while Odin lives. As he leaves the cave, he traps them all there using a large stone over the mouth of the cave.

Goliath flies off and engages Odin in battle. As they do battle, Odin uses his magic to move the stone from the mouth of the cave. Elisa, Angela and Bronx come to the battle site and plead with Goliath to remove the Eye. He refuses and uses the power of the Eye to open a crevasse that they fall into. The crevasse begins to close. Elisa and Bronx are able to climb out, but Angela stays in the crevasse, calling out and pleading for her father to protect her.

Her voice causes Goliath to realize what is happening. He pulls Angela from the crevasse before it closes and then removes the Eye. Odin reclaims it and places it back in his empty eye socket.
