Plot Overview
Goliath, Elisa, Angela and Bronx land in Japan, the town of Ishimura, in time to see a band of gargoyles foiling a robbery. They talk with the gargoyles and find out that the clan lives in peace with the humans of their village.
When dawn breaks and the gargoyles turn to stone, they are kidnapped by attackers of the village. Elisa fights the attackers but is tranquilized by one of the villagers who is a traitor.
When the gargoyles awaken, they are in a roofed amusement park. Taro, the traitor from the village, explains that the village had begun to view the gargoyles as a burden, and when he carried them away to keep them from harm, the villages did not protect them.
He says they can leave any time they want. When Goliath, Angela and Bronx attempt to leave, Taro escorts them out of sight and gases them before they can leave. He has a press conference planned for the morning.
The Japanese gargoyles decide to leave the park, but Taro tranquilizes the leader of the clan and activates his security systems to keep them contained.
Elisa and one of the Japanese villages break into the amusement park and deactivate the security systems before freeing Goliath, Angela and Bronx.
Yama and Taro battle. When Taro is defeated, the gargoyles leave him there restrained and flee the park.
Without the gargoyles, Taro's press conference is a bust.
