Arc Advancement
The involvement between Broyles and Massive Dynamic becomes clearer when he gives a presentation to Nina Sharp of the new Fringe investigation team he has put together. He hopes they will prove more successful than the last one but gives no information as to what happened to them.
After her successful completion of this investigation Nina Sharp offers Olivia a job but is turned down.
Walter thinks Olivia might have seen details of Peter's medical history in his file and he wants her to keep this from Peter but it turns out this information wasn't known to Olivia.
Happenings
A young woman is rushed to hospital from a motel having seemingly become pregnant and reached full term within several minutes. She dies giving birth and her child dies shortly after, having gone from baby to old age within a similarly short time. Olivia discovers that the man who took her to hospital was a serial killer, a case she had worked on unsuccessfully before. This man killed five victims within a short period, removing a piece of their brain each time, then went quiet for years.
Walter believes that the woman became pregnant by a man upon whose growth had somehow been accelerated. Walter has vague recollections of being involved in such research, intended to grow soldiers rapidly. The problem with the rapid growth was that it resulted in rapid ageing but Walter speculates that someone has found a way to prevent this and the murders occur because the victim's pituitary glands are needed for this purpose.
Walter finds a way of retrieving one of the last images a later victim saw and this enables Olivia to track down the killer and those assisting him.
