Happenings

Characters

  • Nick had gone with Madison on run where they ran into a Vulture named Ennis who found and taught Charlie and Nick nearly kills him. Madison shows him bluebonnets, a reminder of something still good in the world.
  • In the present, Nick sees Ennis and goes to kill him. Morgan tries to stop him, but doesn't after. Nick does kills Ennis, at which point Morgan tells him about his past and gives him his copy of Art of Peace and a reminder that all life is precious. Just as Nick absorbs what he reads, Charlie finds Nick and shoots, killing him.
  • Althea notices scars on Strand's hands that he's trying to cover up.
  • Dorie asks why Nick was worried she wouldn't return and recalls when she did leave him, but still loved him. What happened when she left and they were reunited remains unknown.
  • Al is worried when she sees a hatch in her van has been broken, but is relieved when she sees all the tapes are still there. The tapes are labelled "The Bog".

Referbacks

  • Morgan recalls to Nick his past, which involves losing his wife (who had become a walker by the beginning of The Walking Dead) and later his son (who was killed between Seasons 1 and 3) before he met a man named Eastman who taught him "all life is precious" and gives Nick the same book Eastman gave him ("Here's Not Here").

Trivia

The Show

  • There is no music over the closing credits.

Behind the Scenes

  • Nick was written out as Frank Dillane wanted to leave the show to pursue other projects.
