Plot Overview

The County General ER is scheduled to shut down in 12 hours due to renovations and Luka finds himself under pressure to clear out the patients; in the end, Luka decides to resign as the ER chief; tensions flare up between Gates and his father when he learns that his father has been drinking; Pratt's brother, Chaz ends up in the ER with alcohol poisoning after getting initiated by his new EMT co-workers; Sam bonds with a photojournalist who is terminally ill.
