Plot Overview

Mark is still coming to terms with his mother's death and clashes with Weaver over the care of a sick teenage girl who changes her mind about having a DNR; Dr. Dave Malucci joins the ER staff and gets himself & Carter into hot water when they do an unauthorized procedure on an injured construction worker; Benton meets with a court-ordered therapist as he continues to fight with Carla over custody of Reese; Jeanie seeks to get custody of an HIV-positive baby boy; Carter's new friend, Elaine returns to the hospital where she discovers bad news about her health; Romano gives Corday a surprise promotion.
